Description

Karesansui nobedan is the Japanese zen garden art of raked gravel emulating water ripples or waves. This freeform garden art has been transposed onto a closed circuit video image, with translucent raked glass waves interacting with the live images. Millions of minute glass beads act as the gravel and create a visual plane similar to a sandy beach where one might write his or her name or see his/her footprints. In this case, the reminder motif, “You Are Here” again focuses attention on the now.
